JOIN THE MOVEMENT
You don't have to
save them all.
Just be there.
Rapid Response Team is a movement of ordinary people who won't walk past an animal in trouble. Join your district. Help when you can. Sit one out when you can't. Either way, you are one more reason an animal gets a second chance.
There's a place here for every kind of helper
Vets
Answer a question, take a tough case.
Lawyers
Stand up for animals when it counts.
Fosterers
A safe room for a night or a week.
Donors
Fund a treatment, a vaccine, a drive.
Feeders & rescuers
Eyes on the street, hands on the ground.
You
One more neighbour who cares. That's enough.
You don't have to help every time. Just being in your district's network makes help more likely to arrive. Show up when you can - even once.
02 RRT · APP GUIDE
START HERE · THE BIG IDEA
Everything is
local.
Help has to be near. So the app only shows what is happening in your district - the local area your phone is in, like Udupi or Bangalore.
Like a local noticeboard: put up a notice or raise an alarm, and only people in your area see it. Travel somewhere new and it switches by itself. It even knows your district with no internet.
You see only your area
Alerts, asks and chats are all filtered to where you are.
It follows you
Move districts and everything re-points itself.
Two kinds of feature
Most are district-only. A few work anywhere.
Watch the SCOPE tag on every card. Red DISTRICT means your area only. Black ANYWHERE means not tied to your district.
03 RRT · APP GUIDE
GETTING AROUND
The five buttons
at the bottom.
Five tabs run along the bottom. A small coloured dot means something new.
Home
The red SOS button, and the way into Ask the District.
Alerts
Emergencies near you right now.
Chats
All your private conversations.
Profile
Your name, number, language, and Delete my data.
Help
How-to, vets, contact, and share the app.
Red dot on Alerts - a new emergency you haven't opened.
Yellow dot on Home - a new non-urgent request nearby.
Blue dot on Chats - a new message is waiting.

SETTING UP · STEP 1 OF 3
Choose your
language.
The first time you open the app, pick the language you read best. You can change it later in Profile.
Fully translated into English and हिन्दी (Hindi).
Shown only once. After you tap Continue, the app remembers.
05 RRT · APP GUIDE
SETTING UP · WELCOME
Help.
When seconds matter.
The welcome screen shows what the app does in four lines, then one Get Started button.
One-tap SOS
Alert every volunteer in your district.
Photo + voice from the scene
Help responders before they arrive.
Coordinate in real time
Chat privately with the person who raised the alert.
Your language
English or Hindi.
A network of neighbours, not a paid service. No central team, no signup fee.
06 RRT · APP GUIDE
SETTING UP · STEP 2 OF 3
The ground
rules.
Read the Terms, tick the box, tap Accept & Continue. Four rules matter most:
18+
You must be 18 or older.
Real
Use genuine details - trust matters.
Only
For real animal emergencies and help.
Care
Shared photos and voice must be relevant - nothing graphic or abusive.
A Read full Privacy Policy link sits right there. It explains what is shared and for how long.
07 RRT · APP GUIDE
SETTING UP · STEP 3 OF 3
Tell us who
you are.
A one-time profile: your full name and 10-digit mobile (the app adds +91). Tick consent, tap Save & Enter the Network.
Your name shows so helpers know who they're helping - there is no anonymous mode. Your number stays private and appears only during an active emergency.
You consent to sharing your details with district volunteers during an active SOS. Never otherwise.
08 RRT · APP GUIDE
SETTING UP · LOCATION
Turn on
location.
Allow location when asked. It is how the app finds your district and sends your SOS to the right people.
Without location, an SOS cannot be sent. The app never tracks you - it checks only when you raise an alert, refresh, or share a pin.
A pin on the Home screen shows your district. Tap Refresh after you travel.
09 RRT · APP GUIDE
EMERGENCY · THE SOS BUTTON
The big red
button. Hold it.
The heart of the app, for an emergency happening now: an animal hurt, hit, or in danger.
1
Type what's wrong (required) - e.g. "dog hit by car, Mall Road."
2
Press and hold the red button for 3 seconds. The hold stops accidental taps.
3
A confirm screen shows what you'll share. Check it, send.
An amber notice is honest: this reaches volunteers, not official services. If none are nearby, it tells you - call a helpline as backup.
10 RRT · APP GUIDE
EMERGENCY · CONFIRM
One last
check.
Before the alert goes out, a Confirm card shows exactly what volunteers will see:
Your name
So they know who they're coming for.
Your phone
So they can call - shown only while active.
The location
Where the animal is.
Tap Send Alert or Cancel. Nothing is shared until you send. Just stopped one? The app makes you wait a few seconds first.
Your phone number is visible to volunteers who get this alert. That's the point - so they can reach you.
11 RRT · APP GUIDE
EMERGENCY · YOUR LIVE ALERT
Your alert
is live.
Your command centre. A status pill tells you what's happening: Notifying district, Responder viewed, Live.
Add scene photos
Up to 3 live photos, stamped with date, time and place.
Record a voice message
One message, up to 60 seconds.
Look up a vet
Find a nearby clinic from here.
Stop SOS
One tap ends the alert for everyone.
Nothing lingers. Photos and voice are removed when the SOS ends or after 60 minutes. The alert also auto-stops after 60 minutes.
12 RRT · APP GUIDE
EMERGENCY · HELPING OTHERS
When someone
nearby needs you.
The other side of SOS. Alerts lists emergencies in your district now. Even with the app closed, your phone buzzes: "Emergency near you."
See
Each card: who raised it, their message, how far away.
Call
Tap Call to phone them.
Go
Tap Directions to navigate.
Talk
Tap Chat to message, or Play voice note.
Contact details show only while an alert is active. When it ends, the number disappears.
13 RRT · APP GUIDE
EMERGENCY · COORDINATE
Sort it out,
together.
Tap Chat on an alert to open a private conversation. Type, or use + to add:
📷 Take a photo
Up to 3 in a chat.
🎤 Record a voice note

Sends a tappable map pin.
📹 Start a video call

14 RRT · APP GUIDE
EMERGENCY · AFTERWARDS
How did
it go?
After an SOS, the app asks a few optional questions. Answer in seconds, or tap Skip for now.
🐾
What happened to the animal.
Completely optional. Skipping changes nothing.
15 RRT · APP GUIDE
ASK THE DISTRICT · THE BOARD
Ask your
district.
Not an emergency? This is your local noticeboard for anything an animal might need - and anyone nearby can answer.
People ask for all kinds of things
Need blood for my dog. Any donors nearby?
Which clinic has the rare vaccine in stock?
Which apartments here are pet-friendly?
A pet-friendly resort for the weekend?
Help me organise a sterilisation drive.
Need legal help for the strays I feed.
Can someone foster a kitten for two weeks?
A low-cost vet for a stray's surgery?
Your asks sit on top, everyone else's below. Each shows time left and replies, and stays up for 24 hours. Offering help opens a private chat; the board stays public to your district.
16 RRT · APP GUIDE
ASK THE DISTRICT · POSTING
Put up
a notice.
Tap Post an Ask, write what you need, post. Your real name shows. Three optional extras:
📍 A location pin
Where help is needed (not your home).
📷 Up to 2 photos
Show the animal or situation.
🎤 A voice note
One, up to 1 minute.
Everyone in your district sees it at once. If no one is signed up yet, it waits there for anyone who joins.
A pin is visible to your whole district. Pin the spot that needs help, not your front door.
17 RRT · APP GUIDE
ASK THE DISTRICT · ONE ASK
Open an ask.
Then act.
Tapping an ask shows the request, any photo, voice or pin, and time left. Your options depend on whose ask it is.
Someone else's ask
Tap Respond Privately for a one-to-one chat. Tap the pin for directions.
Your own ask
View Responses, Extend by 24h (once), Mark as Done, or Delete.
Mark it done and a thank-you goes to everyone who replied; their chats turn read-only. Asks live 24 hours, with one extension.
Marking done or deleting is kind. It tells helpers the job is handled, so no one travels for nothing.
18 RRT · APP GUIDE
ASK THE DISTRICT · PRIVATE CHAT
A quiet word,
one to one.
Responding opens a private chat between you and the asker - to arrange transport, a foster, a vet.
Send voice notes
Up to 3, 60 seconds each.
Start a video call
A private link, just you two.
Numbers stay hidden
Unlike SOS, no phone numbers here.
These chats clear nightly at midnight (India time). When the ask is done or withdrawn, the chat turns read-only. Copy what you need first.
19 RRT · APP GUIDE
VETS · FIND ONE
Find a vet
near you.
From Help (or a live SOS), the app lists animal clinics close to you, sorted by distance. It starts within ~15 km; tap Search Wider Area for ~50 km.
🧭 Directions
Tap a clinic to navigate straight there.
🗺 Open in Maps
Check reviews and hours before you go.
These come from a public directory and aren't verified by us. Not every clinic lists a phone number, so open it in Maps to check reviews and hours before you go.

VETS · REPORT A FACILITY
Report a government
vet hospital.
If a government vet facility failed an animal - no doctor, no medicines, filthy - file a documented report the app delivers to the authority.
1
Name the facility (and a landmark).
2
Tick what's wrong - no doctor, no medicines, broken equipment, unhygienic, staff misconduct, building disrepair, other - and/or describe it.
3
Take a live photo (camera, stamped with date, time, GPS) and drop a pin at the facility.
4
Enter your email and send. You get a reference number.

What's kept,
and for how long.
The app holds as little about you as possible. Four promises:
1
Your number is private - shown only during an active SOS.
2
Chats are wiped nightly at midnight (India time).
3
Emergency photos and voice vanish when the SOS ends, or after 60 minutes.
4
You can delete everything from Profile, on phone and servers.
Location is never tracked in the background. Only when you raise an alert, refresh, or share a pin.

KEEPING IT WORKING
Update
required.
Now and then you'll see a full-screen message: a new version is available. Tap Update Now to get it from your app store.
These carry important fixes for SOS delivery and notifications - the parts that must work in an emergency. The key ones can't be skipped.
It only asks when it matters. Keeping the app current is the simplest way to make sure your alerts reach people.
